weekend food recap

I couldn’t resist devouring a delicious cod today for lunch after I saw someone order it — it was a moment of weakness in my quest to be more of a vegetarian (on most days) in my remaining days in China. It has been 4 days of vegetarianism, with today’s lunch breaking the streak. But my crippled hamstrings have been screaming for protein to help along this soreness, and they mustn’t be neglected!

Sadly, I actually regret eating the cod now. I don’t even like cod that much. But the protein and the omega 3s were calling to me… eat meeee… To make myself feel better, here’s the weekend recap of redeeming, fully-vegetarian foods!

Pictured here is a Spinach Wrap with Parsley & Veggies from Wagas. Wagas is one of our go-to restaurants here in Shanghai, but seriously guys, parsley should never be used as the main ingredient in anything unless you mean for it to be appealing to cows. Parsley overload here. I felt like I was eating grass.
